CLASS OF 2023

Reading -  Students spend independent reading time on Achieve 3000, reading articles, completing activities, and responding to thought questions.  In our reading groups we are working on determining importance.  Each day we work through the Daily 5 which includes reading to self, reading to someone, word work, writing, and technology.

Writing - This week we have been working on an opinion piece based on the book "I Wanna Iguana."

Math - This week we worked on measuring weight and capacity.  Students work daily on  number of the day, problem solving, math writing, and I-Pad activities that support the Common Core State Standards.  On Tuesdays and Thursday students also work on multiplication facts.

Inquiry - This week in our economics study we learned about consumers and producers.  We also worked on identifying continents and oceans.
